First, I want to say Thank You. You are an incredible person! You were born to be a violin teacher and you are a DANG good one! You are the perfect fit for our daughter. We could not have found someone better. Your communication with her and understanding of her needs has been spot on. You have online lessons down perfectly and have all the resources available. You truly show you care about your students and they can feel it. You have helped her grow leaps and bounds. You are a perfect mix of tough love and you are extremely professional. We hit the jackpot when we found you as a teacher. We love you and are grateful for you. Thank you!

Although I was resistant to Dr. Rodgers' teaching methods at first having studied previously with another teacher, I have become a much stronger musician as a result of them. Her methods were different from the ones I was used to, but through her guidance I not only improved leaps and bounds as a performer, but I regained my love for music. I believe you should at least be content to go to your violin lesson, certainly not scared or unhappy, and after the difficult change of teachers, violin lessons became the most enjoyable part of my week. My confidence as a performer has drastically improved, as well. Dr Rodgers pushes her students with the right amount tough to soft teaching. It is the perfect balance of rigid structure to flexibility and freedom. It takes a skilled person to gift the love of music and self confidence. Linda Rodgers is that person, both as a professional mentor and a cherished friend.

I’ve been taking lessons with Dr. Linda Rodgers since I was five years old. Being able to have Linda at my side to guide me is what’s allowed me to progress over the years. The fact that she was able to play along with me as well as listen to and give me feedback on my assignments each week has really been key in my growth as a violin student. Naturally, when it came time for me to go away to college, we both were devastated that we wouldn’t be able to see each other anymore, seeing no possible way to continue lessons from separate cities. When the online idea was proposed, I, of course was willing to give it a shot and was confident that Linda would do everything she could to make it work for her students who had studied with her for so long. Even in its beginning phases, the online-lesson program is already matching up to the quality and efficiency that in-person lessons were able to provide. Linda and I are able to hear each other speak and play, and Linda is able to watch me play so that she can help me on my assignments and make sure my fingerings are correct. In addition, the online environment allows Linda to post announcements, share screens for sight-reading practice, and she even goes so far as to send recordings of my pieces so that I have no trouble practicing throughout the week.

Linda is an amazing, perceptive violin teacher who continues to inspire me during my journey as a violinist. Her methods and techniques are long-lasting and extremely effective. After years of being in a "rut," Linda re-awakened my violin playing skills and escalated my abilities in only a matter of weeks. She challenges her students, while encouraging them to be the best they can be. In the two years I was a student of Linda's teaching, I was better than I had ever been during a span of 14 years of playing. She inspired me to join a real symphony, and her skills as a teacher led me to live my dreams as a performing artist and play violin in venues and at events that I could only imagine before. I credit Linda to bringing me out of my shell, encouraging me to express myself through the violin, and setting an excellent foundation for me to continue playing the violin for life.

Dr. Rodgers is a wonderful instructor. I needed extra tutoring outside of my high school orchestra class in order to keep up with how competitive my high school was. I stayed with her for the 4 years and I became a much stronger violinist because of her knowledge and instruction. She is very accommodating to after school hours and scheduling around performances and competitions, which I really appreciated. Dr. Rodgers made a significant difference in my ability level in a kind, caring, and safe environment.

Dr. Linda Rodgers has been teaching my son privately for over 4 years. She has not only taught him technique but also music theory. Linda provides a comfortable and friendly learning atmosphere. The knowledge my son has gained from her instruction is invaluable. I highly recommend taking lessons from Dr. Rodgers.

I have studied with Dr. Rodgers for several years. Her knowledge of music is impeccable. Her skill as a violinist is the same. She has a caring, positive approach to teaching and has high expectations for her students. I would highly recommend her for students of all ages.

Dr. Linda has been my violin instructor for about 2 years. I am very pleased with her instruction and knowledge of the instrument and the music. I began my lessons with absolutely no knowledge of the printed or written music page and no knowledge of the violin. Today, I feel comfortable with reading music which was once a very insurmountable task for me. I am especially happy with the patience that Dr. Linda has exhibited during her instruction. She has also been understanding with my choices of music and I feel like I can play the violin now.

I have known Dr. Rodgers for several years and have collaborated with her on numerous occasions. Highly regarded by her students, she is a talented, consummate professional who goes beyond what is required to ensure that each performance is the best it can possibly be. As concert-mistress, she is a vital part of the orchestral makeup for many concerts with which I have been involved and always the first we call.

I started taking lessons from Linda four years ago when I was thirteen. Prior to this, I had no private instruction. My position was terrible and I was about as advanced as Suzuki Book 2. Thanks to Linda's efficiency, amazing teaching method, vast knowledge of violin repertoire, and incredible amount of patience, I am now an advanced student with hopes of becoming a music major. I couldn't have gotten where I am now without her. Thanks, Linda!!!

I have been a student of Dr. Linda Rodgers for three years. She stretches me and challenges me to become the best musician I am capable of becoming. The lessons are a balance of songs, etudes, and exercises, all with the intent of improving the skills of the student. Dr. Rodgers works well with people of all ages and with differing goals, from the adult learner who is learning to play the violin for the sheer pleasure of it, to the young person who is focusing on a goal of a college major in violin, to the young beginning student just starting out. I would gladly recommend Dr. Rodgers as a teacher.

I have been studying with Dr. Rodgers for over seven years now and have grown further in my skills than I ever could have anticipated. She is an amazing instructor and has become a dear friend, and I would not choose to study under any other mentor.

It's only been almost six months now since we've changed JV's private teacher for his violin lessons. As a teacher with an Ed.D. degree, she handles her lessons in a professional manner. She treats her students, as well as their parents, like her own family. She's very supportive and devoted to her work. It's a blessing that we've known her, as she helped our son get into the Command Performance round of NMEA's Solo Ensemble. This is the first time in five years of performing and playing the violin that our son received such a prodigious award. We can't thank Dr. Rodgers enough, and we appreciate all her invaluable support on behalf of our son.

I love studying the violin with you! I look forward to lessons and having more discipline (practicing) in my days. This is a good thing. Your teaching method is effective and positive. The lessons leave me inspired (rather than discouraged).

You are AMAZING!! My spiccato got so much better just from doing 5 minutes of your advice about how to practice it.
